Frequently asked questions
Do my customers need an app?
No. They open a normal link in their phone browser, or just look at the picture you posted on your status. Nothing to install, on their side or yours.
What happens if I do not update it one day?
The board says so. It shows the day the prices are from and drops the up/down arrows, and the WhatsApp message it prepares asks for today's price instead of quoting yesterday's. It will never pass off an old price as today's.
Can I write the fish names in Sinhala?
Yes — type in Sinhala and it renders correctly on the board, on the public page and in the shareable picture. The starter list already has the usual names in both languages.
Can I sell by the kilo with this?
Yes. Tap an item, type the weight from your scale, and it multiplies by today's price. You can also go the other way — a customer asking for Rs 1,000 worth gets the weight worked out. Every sale is kept so you can see the day's total.
Does it handle two stalls?
One board per account for now. If you run a fish stall and a meat stall side by side, put both on one board and use the sections — customers see them grouped.
